Agile sophomore who finished his freshman season on a high note…had a double-double in the ACC Tournament game against Florida State, first Clemson freshman to do that in an ACC Tournament game since Iker Iturbe in 1994-95…has the shot blocking ability, he ranked 13th in the ACC in blocked shots per game even though he played just 14 minutes per game…he was 12th on a per game basis in ACC competition… similar in physical stature to former Clemson great Larry Nance, his stats were better than those Nance put forth as a freshman in 1977-78.

High School
Came to Clemson after one year at Hargrave Military Academy in Virginia…helped that team to a 26-1 by averaging 18 points and 10.3 rebounds per game…also averaged three blocks and two steals per game…had a season high of 31 points and 20 rebounds…also had a game in which he had 10 blocks…ranked as a top 100 player in the United States by some services during the 2000-01 academic year…ranked among the top five 5th-year prep players in the nation by Hoop Scoop online during 2000-01…played on a team that had 11 Division I signees…that team was coached by Kevin Keatts…played four years of high school basketball in at Gwynn Park High School in Brandywine, MD…played his high school basketball for Steve Matthews…averaged 15.8 points and 12 rebounds per game his senior year…also added 6.6 blocked shots per game…also shot 58 percent from the floor…had season high of 26 points, 19 rebounds and 11 blocks shots, but not in the same game…first-team All-Metro by Washngton Post.
