I don't know, but who in GOP is better?? We have to run somebody who can win. I don't see money as being an object to victory for repubs. I see the message and messenger as the key, along with a super strong VP candidate.
Maybe if Rubio was the VP. If the repubs can't win Florida, Colorado and Ohio- they will never win the White House.

Romney might win if he stops being a pussy. He had Barry on the ropes after their first debate and his crew all tucked their junk and lost it. They need a campaign manager with major stones. The Mormon aspect scares the hell out of people.
It will be really hard to get the message across with the media being so damn liberal. If Fox covers it everyone but the right consider it as Fox BS and ignore it. The swing voters view the republicans as a negative party that is against everything....the media is a big influence here. We don't need an attack campaign but someone they can show a vision and inspire the nation. We need a LEADER and I just don't see one on the republican horizon.
I really don't think that they can win the white house because they are so splintered. The extreme right will not support a Romney or Christie because of their moderate leanings and they can not win without the right. They will allow HC win before they will sacrifice their no compromise stance.
The republicans need a face in a big way and there is not one on the horizon. They need someone that can galvanized the party and cake walk thru the primaries. Romney and Christie will get cut to pieces in the primary and give the dems attack points for the campaign.
Where the fu@k is Reagan?

and it will be easier this time...single message..."is there anything they haven't lied about?"
Cookie's right...it's not a face, it's the message. Stay on it and don't waver and keep pushing the issue right back in their faces every time the answer is 'we've moved beyond that' or 'there was no evidence'. As long as the evidence points more strongly to cover-up than denial supports truth, there's smoke.
The far right needs to STFU once and for all. It's not representative of the interests of this country and, if anything, has me consider the other candidates as a result. I will say this, Georgia dems are much more moderate than most places I've been, which only serves to polarize the Bob Barr types of the world.
Whether it's Romney, or Christie, get behind them, unless they have a 'platform position' you simply can't support. Stay out of the 'personal' crap...that's the media's sandbox. Rise above it.
Hillary's biggest fear is the opposition will be positively unrelenting in attacking her role and/or involvement in this administration for the past eight years...and it can be a withering attack. The ONLY defense that can be mounted is the 'sympathy for women' angle. What's her appetite for such a campaign? I believe her silence is telling.

Exactly , IOP .....that's why ...IMO .... PLEASE... for crying out loud .....DON'T RUN ROMNEY ! There are TOO MANY people who will not vote for a Mormon , right or wrong they just won't ! My Father in law and Mother in law both refused to vote for Romney because he was a Mormon and they are both usually solid Republican voters . If Romney couldn't beat Obuma last time he won't ever win . Believe me there are MUCH BETTER candidates than Romney .....OR JEB Bush another guaranteed loser. We have to run someone who will energize the conservative GOP base and those two guys won't ! Rush talked about a study that showed several million conservative voters stayed home in 2012.

I've had this debate with many people. They couldn't stomach McCain, well how did Barry suit you? Romney might not be conservative enough. Well how did Barry part 2 suit you?
There is a huge feeling that the right needs to stop sending "rino's", or guys that are too moderate, up for pres, and that only a third party is an option. IMHO though, when it comes to the final vote, you have two choices. Garbage and a bigger pile of garbage. If you stay home, you end up with the bigger pile of garbage.
It doesn't seem to be an issue for the left. They can send radical after radical up, and their moderate base doesn't balk. They fall into line and salute. I wonder though, if they sent a moderate how the far left would react.....
Completely separate thread, but the notion of the third party comes into this. I have zero hope for the Dem party ever coming around to reality, and not much more for the Rep party. So do we really need to trash both and start a third (and fourth etc) party? Is that the only way of bringing sanity back? And if so, the first one to do it (cough cough Tea Party) dooms their current party to a split that gives power to the other....

the problems the pubs face is that a candidate acceptable to their hard right cannot win nationally.
I don't agree jack , plenty of us in the GOP conservative base held our nose and voted for McCain , who lost , Dole , who lost, Romney who LOST . The Republicans have NOT run a TRUE CONSERVATIVE since ...the great Ronald Reagan ...and he won both elections in massive landslides . We need a great communicator who can show the American people that the Democrat Party IS destroying our great Country. We have a literal LAWLESS President now ....and a Democrat administration who totally ignores the Constitution. They are destroying evidence in a case where they were clearly using the IRS as a political hammer against Tea Party conservative groups. Where are Woodward and Bernstein NOW ...and CBS,NBC, CNN and ABC ......? Nixon stepped down NOT because of the Democrats...but because REPUBLICANS went to the White House and told him they would vote to IMPEACH him if he did not resign . You think Dems would do that today ?
The only reason the Tea Party gets the rap it does is because the Dems/'Pubs want a two-party set-up. It's the only tie that binds both to the media...so...self-serving as hell.
It's time for a third (moderate) party, and the script to be played by the current players and media is now known and understood. The problem, in my view, is such a party requires concession and intelligence on the part of the electorate. They have to turn loose of long-held 'wants' that more than likely, should reside at the state level. I'm not sure that intelligence, ability to display free thought, and the resolve to not succumb to 'the way it's always been' will exist. Over time, it can, but requires losing elections with your platform and candidates, staying the course, whip-sawing the heck out of the existing 'paradigm' and grow the base. Trying to be a one-shot wonder won't cut it.
I agree that a major part of the problem today is a dumbed down body politic that votes for all the WRONG reasons . How many voted for Obama ,...simply because he was black ,...or because he was a Democrat,..or because they thought he was new or cool . That is not why you vote for someone to lead our Country . Many of these voters know little about American History and what it took to establish our great Country and what it really was that led us to GREATNESS ! To become the world's only true super power in a little over 237 years was more than remarkable . It was because of our Founding Fathers and their vision established in our Constitution and Declaration of Independence . Liberty , freedom , LIMITED government , and individual responsibility are no longer cornerstones of our Country for the most part ! We have today a huge , bloated Federal government that wastes unbelievable amounts of taxpayer dollars and too many voters who vote for what they can get from the Country ...not what they can give to the Country. This has to change ... or we will be the late great United States.
